Billionaire Investor Orlando Bravo Is ‘Very Bullish’ on Bitcoin
According to Orlando Bravo, a co-founder of a private equity firm Thoma Bravo, Bitcoin price will “increase significantly.” He explained: “Crypto is just a great system. It’s frictionless. It’s decentralized. And young people want their own financial system. So it is here to stay.”
Orlando Bravo, co-founder and managing partner of private equity firm Thoma Bravo, appeared on CNBC’s Delivering Alpha conference to talk about bitcoin. Bravo is reportedly the first Puerto Rican-born billionaire, with a net worth of $6.3 billion.
“How could you not love crypto?” he said at the conference. “Crypto is just a great system. It’s frictionless. It’s decentralized. And young people want their own financial system. So it is here to stay,” he continued.
He also talked about the underlying blockchain technology, saying: “regardless of what protocol or what system you are building upon, can be very powerful and sometimes provides better use cases than data-based software.”
His PE firm Thomas Bravo was one of the investors in funding round for FTX Trading Ltd. in July. FTX Trading Ltd is the company behind the cryptocurrency exchange FTX.
Bravo also said that he has personally invested in bitcoin:
“For me, it’s pretty simple. More people are going to use in the future than today, and it’s going to be more established. Institutions are just beginning to go there, and once that happens, I think it will increase significantly over the years. I’m very bullish.”
