Cinema Chain AMC Is Working To Add Shiba Inu (SHIB) As A Payment Method
AMC Entertainment movie theatre chain has revealed that it working to accept Shiba Inu (SHIB) alongside other crypto assets like Bitcoin, Doge, Ethereum, and Litecoin for its tickets in the coming months.
U.S.-based AMC Entertainment revealed during its Q3 earning call with more than 10,000 people listening that the team were contemplating adding the SHIB to the list of digital assets it would be supporting after considering the bull run the coin had in October and its increased popularity amongst the crypto community.
AMC confirmed that by Q1 next year, its support for the crypto assets mentioned before would be in action.
Adam Aron, the CEO of the movie chain, last month asked polled on Twitter on whether the cinema house should receive Shiba Inu as a payment option. A huge majority of the respondents to the poll voted in favor of SHIB.

The addition of Shiba Inu as an expected payment method has brought the total to six cryptocurrencies set to be accepted at the theatre chain. CEO Adam Aron had previously disclosed that the entertainment giant was working to implement crypto payments for its services. Initially, bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency announced. But as time went on, other cryptocurrencies were added to the lineup.
Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin were further added to the list to help provide more options for users when paying with cryptocurrencies. Then in October, Aron announced that the theatre chain would begin accepting Dogecoin, bringing the total to five.
Dogecoin payments were implemented after the CEO carried out a poll that saw the overwhelming majority voted for Doge to be added to the lineup. Last month, Dogecoin payments were officially announced, allowing users to purchase gift cards of up to $200 a day using the cryptocurrency.

While SHIBA saw its value reach a new all-time high in October, the value of the asset has crashed by over 50% since then. At the time of writing SHIB trades for 0.00005481.
