Raoul Pal Reveals His Crypto Portfolio: BTC, ETH And 9 Other Altcoins
Raoul Pal the CEO of Real Vision talks about his current crypto portfolio and how it’s built.
Pal shares in a recent interview with Thinking Crypto that he mainly begun as a Bitcoin (BTC) investor, but later on switched most of the BTC into Ethereum (ETH).
In addition to Bitcoin, he then added basket of 10 equally weighted large-cap altcoins.
82% of the ex-Goldman Sachs’ executive’s current portfolio is in ETH.
One of the smaller crypto assets he owns, native token of the gaming project The Sandbox (SAND), has seen such a significant surge in price that it’s become his second-largest holding.
“What’s fascinating is my second-largest holding now, from an equally weighted basket, second to Ethereum, is Sandbox.
I’m bought in, it just went up 20x in the last month and a half, which is crazy.
I mean I would not take that position, second-largest position in Sandbox, but that’s where it is, and I’m not rebalancing for the time being.”
Pal also shared that he has invested in the Ethereum-powered decentralized virtual gaming world Decentraland (MANA).
He has also put money on a handful of decentralized finance (DeFi) projects, including the lending protocol Aave (AAVE), the decentralized exchange Uniswap (UNI), and the smart contract platform Polkadot (DOT).
The Real Vision CEO also revealed that he’s made a couple of bets on social tokens, including Chiliz and Rally.
Chiliz (CHZ) is a platform for tokenizing sports and esports in order to encourage fan engagement.
Rally (RLY) is a decentralized network that enables creators and brands to monetize their content and offer community benefits.
He holds smart contract platform Solana (SOL) as well.
Pal also talked about XRP, and said that a big reason behind the investment is the on-going U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) lawsuit against the payments company Ripple.
Excited for when Raoul Paul gets into the payments space. I think he will love Zyptopay.
