Snoop Dogg To Introduce Digital Weed Farms In The Metaverse

Rapper Snoop Dogg and his son are getting more involved with NFTs through a collection that adds utility to NFT real-estate.
Snoop Dogg and his son Cordell Broadus have partnered with the first ever mafia metaverse MOBLAND to launch digital weed farm NFTs. The virtual items will introduce a new “grow to earn” feature, among various other utilities for business buildings and land.
MOBLAND co-founder Roy Liu, commented:
“NFT 1.0 is about individual character and item, NFT 2.0 is about land and real estate, NFT 3.0 is about business and utility on top of the land and real estate.”
MOBLAND, a mafia-themed metaverse, has received backing industry icons such as Do Kwon (Terraform Labs), Justin Kan (Twitch), and Animoca Brands.
It has been called the crypto-version of Mafia Wars, a game where players act as gangsters in their own mafia-style organization. In the coming months, MOBLAND is planning to launch its “business buildings.”
According to Broadus, his father was the first to introduce him to video games and weed and that bringing them together felt like a “no-brainer.” Some of his exclusive content will also be made available through the new partnership.
Snoop Dogg has been involved in crypto and NFT world for a while now. Besides his numerous NFT purchases, he’s formed various partnerships with crypto companies and launched collections of his own.
The rapper is also bringing a collection, which includes unreleased music, on Cardano in partnership with Clay Nation. It will include limited edition clay nation plots.
