Chipotle Enables Crypto Payments In All Restaurants In The U.S.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, the American fast casual restaurant chain has enabled all American customers to pay their bills in digital currencies.
Chipotle in collaboration with Flexa is accepting clients to settle their bills in cryptocurrencies. All nearly 3,000 company locations in the United States have this option available.
Chipotle Mexican Grill has become one of the largest American restaurant chains to welcome cryptocurrencies as a means of payment. Customers can now pay their bills using almost 100 digital assets.
The initiative covers all 2,979 Chipotle restaurants in the US. In addition, to celebrate the move, the company will offer a 10% discount to clients’ next purchase paid with cryptocurrencies.
Chipotle also has locations in Canada, the UK, Germany, and France. For the time being it’s not clear, the company will apply the new payment option to some of those destinations.
Chipotle is not the only American restaurant chain to accept crypto payments. In 2020, Pizza Hut enabled bitcoin and other digital asset settlements in Venezuela.
