Mercedes-Benz Drivers Now Pay Via Fingerprint Sensor

Mercedes-Benz is giving drivers in Germany the option to pay for things with their fingerprints.
In Germany and other countries, Mercedes-Benz drivers can already pay for gas directly from their cars using the Mercedes me app and a smartphone or the MBUX infotainment system and a PIN.
With the new Mercedes pay+ system, which uses Visa’s Delegated Authentication and Visa Cloud Token Framework technologies, drivers can use a fingerprint sensor in the car to pay for digital services and on-demand hardware upgrades in the Mercedes me Store.
Cardholders with a Visa credit or debit card that is eligible for the service can use it by linking their card to their Mercedes me user account and turning on Mercedes pay+ in the car through MBUX.
Later this year, you’ll be able to pay for gas and other services with your fingerprint as well as in other European markets.
