Whale Transacts Over $154,000,000 In ETH In Single Transfer

A mysterious “Ethereum whale” is suddenly on the move, moving tens of thousands of ETH in one big transaction.

The first service to notice the big Ethereum move was Whale Alert, which keeps an eye on the blockchain.

The Whale Alert says that the user with a lot of money moved 80,000 ETH worth $154.58 million from an unknown wallet to the cryptocurrency exchange Binance.US.

Blockchain data also shows that the large entity spent less than $4 in ETH to process the multi-million-dollar trade.

Over the weekend, Whale Alert also caught a few large Ethereum transfers.

One “whale” moved $36.81 million worth of ETH from an unknown wallet to the US-based cryptocurrency market Coinbase. Whale Alert shows that the whale spent $4.20 to move the big stack of ETH.

Whale Alert also watched as 15,000 ETH, worth more than $30 million, moved from a wallet run by the Ethereum Foundation to the cryptocurrency market Kraken. The creator of Ethereum had to pay more than $11 to move the stash of ETH.

In another transaction, a wealthy trader moved $25 million worth of ETH from an unknown wallet to Coinbase. The fees that the whale had to pay were less than $11.

All of the ETH that was talked about was moved to a crypto exchange, so it could be sold on the open market.

At the time of writing, the price of Ethereum is $1,861. This is a drop of more than 1.27% in the last 24 hours.
