Amazon Pay Incorporates Affirm BNPL

Thanks to a deal with BNPL company Affirm, US businesses who use Amazon Pay can now offer their customers payment plans.

Since 2021, US users of Amazon’s website and app have been able to use Affirm to buy things and pay for them over time. Now, it gives Amazon Pay sellers the chance to do the same thing.

At checkout, Affirm’s Adaptive Checkout lets you choose between biweekly and monthly payment plans. When a customer clicks the Amazon Pay button on a partner retailer’s website during checkout, they can choose Affirm as their payment method and go through an approval process in real time that doesn’t affect their credit score.

Affirm has already been added to Amazon Pay by stores like Casper, USA Berkey Filters, and UltraSabers.

“We know customers want convenient and flexible payment options—whether they’re checking out on Amazon.com or using Amazon Pay,” says Omar Soudodi, director, Amazon Pay. “With Affirm on Amazon Pay, merchants can offer a pay-over-time option to their existing customers and have another way to reach new customers.”
