Before Its 2023 Debut, Ashman Bank Grows Its Top Management Staff

Ben Hynes and Mark Holloway have received internal promotions to senior positions at Ashman Bank, which plans to start as a bank for SMEs in the real estate sector.
Prior to its projected launch this year, Ashman Bank has engaged a chief information officer (CIO) and chief technology officer (CTO).
While the business becomes ready for full regulatory clearance from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to lend to SMEs in commercial real estate, Ben Hynes and Mark Holloway are moving up into senior management positions within the organization.
After more than three years as a program director and head of transformation, overseeing the bank’s IT infrastructure, systems, and operations, Hynes will assume the position of CIO.
Following more than four years as head of technology, Holloway will now oversee the bank’s IT strategy as CTO, fusing its “technical vision with its business goals.”
“Ben and Mark have made a huge impact at Ashman already. In their new roles, they will be instrumental in delivering Ashman’s vision of transforming the banking experience for property entrepreneurs,” Ashman Bank COO Simon Healy said.
“Our senior management team has been assembled to ensure we are armed with the knowledge and insight to drive positive change and create a greener future for all, through finance,” Healy added.
According to Ashman, Hynes was in charge of directing the bank’s successful application for a banking license, which resulted in the bank getting authorization with restrictions last June.
Holloway, who was a founder member of the bank, also contributed to the achievement of the interim license.
According to Ashman, it plans to begin as early as feasible with easy, transparent access to finance for conscientious SMEs in commercial real estate, subject to regulatory timeframe and clearance.
“I am thrilled to support Ashman’s mission to simplify banking and provide solutions for conscientious property businesses and entrepreneurs in my role as CTO,” Holloway said.
“I’m confident that through next generation technology, we can build something that makes a genuine difference.”
