Cardano Announce Partnerships With Chainlink And Dish Network

So far there have been two big announcements at the on-going Cardano Summit 2021: Cardano and Dish network integration and partnership between Cardano and Chainlink to support smart contract development.
Cardano To Make Products with Dish
Hoskinson announced in his keynote that Ethereum blockchain rival Cardano and TV and wireless service provider Dish Network said they’ve entered a deal to help Dish integrate the Cardano blockchain into its telecom business and help provide digital identity services to Dish customers.
It’s the “rebel of the telco space,” says Hoskinson. IOHK will make products with them.
It is unclear what products IOHK will produce, but “proof of bandwidth” and decentralized identity and loyalty programs are discussed. “Blockchains are useless without connectivity,” says Chris Ergen, co-founder and chairman of DISH Office of Innovation. Together, the technologies will be “exponentially bigger.”
Chainlink Partnership
Input Output, Cardano’s parent company, also said it partnered with Chainlink to help Cardano developers build smart contracts for secure decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.
Niki Ariyasinghe, head of blockchain partnerships at Chainlink Labs, commented:
“We have tremendous amount of respect for the Cardano ecosystem. For us it’s about right timing to engage with the Cardano ecosystem […] and bring it together with Chainlink which is really built to enable smart contracts.”
The announcements were made during the Cardano Summit 2021.
Cardano ADA Price
At the time of writing Cardano’s ADA was trading at 2.26 with 3.2% loss on a daily chart.
