Chris Suh Is The New Chief Financial Officer For Visa

The payments giant brought on a new CEO seven months before Chris Suh was hired. Chris Suh is the new chief financial officer (CFO) for Visa.

Vasant Prabhu, who has been CFO for a long time, will be replaced by Suh. Suh used to be CFO for Electronic Arts.

On the senior leadership team, he works with the new CEO, Ryan McInerney.

Alfred Kelly Jr., who had been CEO and chairman since 2016 and then became executive chairman of the board, was replaced as the head of the company by McInerney in February. He was named in November.

“[Suh’s] deep experience in finance and technology, plus his leadership in growing and scaling businesses, will be extraordinarily valuable to us as we continue to drive growth and better serve our clients around the world,” CEO Ryan McInerney said.

Before joining EA about a year ago, Suh worked at Microsoft for more than 25 years in different leadership roles. His last job there was as CVP and CFO for cloud and AI, where he led the company’s growth as a “cloud-first business.”

“Visa is an incredible brand and the company has a great culture. I have long admired Visa’s history of innovation and industry leadership and I’m excited to play a part in shaping the future of payments around the globe,” Suh said.

Suh will take over as CFO until Prabhu leaves Visa at the end of September. He will do this job in July and August.
