Christine Moy, A Pro-Crypto Exec At JPMorgan Is Leaving The Bank

Christine Moy, a managing director at JPMorgan, who has been leading many of the crypto-related initiatives, is leaving the bank after nearly two decades.
Moy shared the news on a LinkedIn post listing her accomplishments at the Wall Street banking giant. She didn’t reveal where she is going next but signed off with “#wgmi” – a crypto shorthand for the “we’re gonna make it.”
She wrote:
“As for my next world building adventure, please stay tuned. I am super excited to share with you what is next!”
Moy, who was a managing director at JPMorgan and global head of the Liink payment platform, worked with the bank for nearly two decades. Most recently, she was also made head of crypto and metaverse at JPMorgan, and was behind the bank’s entry in Ethereum-based Decentraland.
Moy also co-founded Onyx by JPMorgan, a business unit focused on digital assets and blockchain built using a permissioned version of Ethereum. She was also in favor for JPMorgan to bank crypto companies such as Coinbase and Gemini.
Among other things Moy also organized JPMorgan’s first Crypto Economy Forum and issuing the bank’s first NFTs.
According to unnamed sources, Moy has been offered top jobs at both crypto-native firms and institutional players.
