Crypto’s Shark Tank? CoinMarketCap Shows “Killer Whales”

CoinMarketCap is about to release the first Web3 TV show that will be shown all over the world.

Move over, “Shark Tank.” CoinMarketCap has teamed up with Hello Labs, a Web3 entertainment company started by Hollywood director and producer Paul Caslin, to make a competition show that will teach people all over the world about the complexities and changing tech of the Web3 space while entertaining them.

People hope that the new reality show will have both Web3 and entertainment aspects.

Killer Whales

The official blog post says that the upcoming show will try to meet the growing interest of billions of Web3 users by giving both big and small projects in the cryptocurrency and NFT space a global stage.

The reality show is called “Killer Whale,” and it is made by HELLO Labs and some other people who haven’t been named yet. It works a lot like Shark Tank. The contestants will pitch their crypto and NFT ideas to a panel of industry experts and judges called “Whales” in the hopes of getting the help they need to get to the next level.

People will pick “Swim” or “Sink” on each pitch. The goal is to get as many votes from the judges as possible to have a chance of being at the top of the series leaderboard and being named the series winner, said the statement.

“We want to provide a voice through our platform for the entire Web3 community when producing the show, so we have introduced a way for communities to vote for their favorite projects and NFTs and show their support. With the help of our judges, contestants will have the opportunity to bring their vision to life and make a significant impact in the world of cryptocurrency.”

Starting on May 2, people who are interested can send their forms to Hello.one and CoinMarketCap. The applications will be looked at by professionals who are experts in their fields. There will be several rounds of talks in Los Angeles for the projects that were chosen. In June, shooting will start on Killer Whales. It will then be made available on all of the big streaming services.

Web3 Shows

Some of the most exciting and important changes in the world are being made by Web3 technologies. Midway through 2021, the makers of “Entourage” made the first written TV show about digital assets. It was called “Hold On for Dear Life.”

Toonstar, a Web3 story company, just announced the release of Space Junk, an animated series for adults. This is the third original Web3 series that Toonstar has put out. Also coming out this year is “Krapopolis,” a Web3 cartoon TV show made by “Rick and Morty” co-creator Dan Harmon.
