Dogecoin (DOGE) NFT-Obsessed DAO Will Visit Original Doge

A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that is crazy about Dogecoin (DOGE) is planning a pilgrimage to Japan to meet the dog that inspired the Doge meme.

Own The Doge DAO, which is known for its DOGE-themed non-fungible tokens (NFTs), tells its 38,000 Twitter followers in a long thread that it will be going to Japan in May to meet the original Doge and its owner.

The DAO says that the cost of the trip, which includes everything, is $4,200. Those who choose to go on the trip will be able to meet the dog and its owners, pet the dog, and take pictures with them. They will also be able to see many of Japan’s sights.

The DAO also says that it will raffle off one ticket to a member of the community because it knows that some people might not be able to afford the trip.

“Interesting but short on [cash]? We got you. One ticket of this Dogely dream would be raffled off to a community member as a part of our DoOnlyGoodEveryday initiative. Cost of the winner’s flight (up to $1,500) would also be borne by us.”

The group also said that people who wanted to go would be screened to make sure that only the “Dogeliest of Doges” went. They also said that Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), and DOGE would all be acceptable forms of payment.

“In order to make sure only the Dogeliest of all Doges go, a screening of the interested people would be done by us. After the screening is cleared, we will privately share a payment gateway so you can pay directly in ETH, USDC or Dogecoin.”

At the time of writing, Dogecoin was worth $0.074, which was a 3.8% increase from the day before.
