Ethereum’s Di Iorio Plans To Exit Crypto Quoting Safety Concerns

Ethereum network’s co-founder, Anthony Di Iorio, made a statement that he is done with crypto, partially due to personal safety concerns. The 48-year old Di Iorio had a security team set up since 2017, with someone traveling with him wherever he goes, Bloomberg reported.

The ETH co-founder, Di Iorio also has plans to sell Decentral Inc. – Canada’s leading blockchain setup in the coming weeks. Moving as away from crypto, he will focus on philanthropy and other ventures not related to crypto.

Decentral is a Toronto-based innovation hub and software development company focused on decentralized technologies. They are the maker of Jaxx, a digital asset wallet that acquired about 1 million customers this 2021.

Di Iorio expects to break ties with the startups he is involved with, and plans to stop all project-fundings that concern blockchain such as Project Arrow. The ETH co-founder says he wants to become a guy who is not tackling complex problems.

Regarding his crypto holdings or crypto net worth, Anthony Di Iorio said,

“It’s got a risk profile that I am not too enthused about. I don’t feel necessarily safe in this space. If I was focused on larger problems, I think I’d be safer. I will incorporate crypto when needed, but a lot of times, it’s not.”

Di Iorio co-founded Ethereum, which has become the housing entity of many hottest crypto projects existing right now. Ether, the native token of Ethereum has a market value of more than $219 billion, at time or writing.

In 2018, Di Iorio bought a three-story penthouse for $28 million using his digital money in Canada. Back then, Forbes estimated his net worth to $1 billion.
