Ex-Plaid Product Lead Releases E-commerce Payment Processor

The payment processing platform for e-commerce businesses has been released by Wafi, a new company started by Victor Umunze, who used to be the Plaid product lead.

Wafi.cash promises to give online sellers a simple API to make processing bank payments fast, safe, and cheap.

Wafi says that the platform made to eliminate unnecessary parts of the payment processing flow. It will reduce payment processing rates by over 50% and provide consumers up to 0.75% cash back.

With 2FA and its detection technology, Wafi also helps cut down on payment failures and fraud.
