GameStop Markets Web3 Gaming NFTs With Immutable X

The Web3 platform of the video game store now offers interactive NFTs from titles like Gods Unchained and Illuvium.

GameStop, a retailer of video games, said today that it has expanded support for NFTs created using the Ethereum layer-2 scaling network Immutable X to its marketplace, enabling users to buy and sell Web3 game assets.

The interactive NFT products for a number of immutable X-based games, including Gods Unchained, Illuvium, and Guild of Guardians, are now accessible via the GameStop shop. This comprises tokenized, tradeable goods like customisable land plots and digital trading cards, among other things.

In July, GameStop finally launched its long-awaited NFT store, although it initially only included digital items and art. Many in the Web3 industry wondered when the business will integrate NFTs from interactive games given its broader emphasis and previously disclosed aspirations for the market.
