Gemini’s European Operations Will Be Based In Dublin, Ireland

The company has been doing business in the European country since last year.

Gemini is one of many big crypto-focused companies that are looking outside of the U.S. because of the trouble with regulations in the U.S.

The company run by the Winklevoss twins has gotten a license to work in Ireland as a Virtual Asset Service Provider. The company said that Dublin will be the center of its business in Europe.

The prime minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar, took the chance to thank Gemini in a formal way.

Gemini was the first company to be recognized as a Virtual Asset Service Provider by the Central Bank of Ireland. This is important for Ireland because the government is putting a lot of attention on innovation as a growth driver. I hope that Gemini does well as they put together their team in Ireland.

The PM also said that the company’s choice to base its operations in Ireland “highlights” their “competitive offering for the international financial services sector.”

According to current news, Gemini has also said that it wants to make Dublin the home of its EU operations. This is happening before MiCA, the first global regulatory system for cryptocurrency assets, is put in place across the EU.
