In 2022, The Gender Pay Gap At Revolut Widened

Last year, the mean pay gap between men and women at Revolut grew from 22.7% to 25.4%.
Last year, Revolut, a big fintech company, made some small changes to close the pay gap between men and women. However, this year, the average hourly pay gap grew from 22.7 percent to 25.4 percent.
The increase means that Revolut’s pay gap between men and women was the biggest in its history of reporting. However, Revolut did make some progress in other areas.
Last year, Revolut was criticized for having a mean bonus gap of 95.8%, which meant that men got twice as much of a bonus as women.
For 2022, Revolut was able to cut this number down to 57.5%. This is still a huge difference, but it is a big improvement from the year before.
Revolut also hired more women even though its headcount grew by 52% around the world. Now, 35% of its employees are women, which is a 3% increase from 2021.
“It is crucial that our products and services, used by millions across all demographics, are built by an equally diverse group of Revoluters,” said Nik Storonsky, CEO and co-founder of Revolut.
“We are committed to becoming a fully inclusive organisation. Reducing our Gender Pay Gap is an important part of this mission.”
As it has in the past, Revolut listed a number of steps it is taking or groups it is a part of to close the pay gap between men and women.
One of these is its commitment to the Women in Finance Charter, which says that by 2025, 30% of leadership positions will be filled by women.
At the moment, though, there are fewer women on the company’s board of directors and executive leadership team than there were a year ago.
In July 2022, Revolut’s only female executive, Deirdre Halligan, resigned.
Caroline Britton is the only woman on the board of directors of Revolut right now. She is the chair of the audit committee.
