Cricket Star Sachin Tendulkar Makes A Foray Into The World Of NFTs

Sachin Tendulkar will be a strategic investor in Rario.com and his NFTs will be accessible there.

According to a press release, Sachin Tendulkar, known as the “God of Cricket” and one of India’s most renowned athletes, has entered the non-fungible token (NFT) market for the first time by teaming up with the online marketplace for digital collectibles called Rario.

Tendulkar will contribute strategically to Rario, an NFT cricket platform. Now only Rario.com will have access to iconic events in Tendulkar’s life and career in the form of official NFTs.

“It is exciting to see NFT technology bringing fans closer to sports, giving them an opportunity to treasure their favourite moments,” said Tendulkar. “The team at Rario was committed to building a cricket community using technology in a responsible way. I am therefore happy to partner with the team, to launch my digital collectibles exclusively on the Rario platform,” he added.

After gaining exclusive collaborations with other well-known cricket players including Aaron Finch, Faf du Plessis, Rishabh Pant, Virender Sehwag, and Zaheer Khan, Tendulkar is Rario’s greatest catch.

The all-time leading run-scorer in cricket and former captain of the Indian team played for an incredible 24 years and is recognised as one of the greatest batsmen in game history.

Rario has agreements with several cricket boards, significant competitions, and a roster of more than 900 international cricket players. Rario has partnerships with Animoca and Polygon Studios. According to the release, the platform has sold more than 150,000 NFTs since 2021.
