Man Plans to Kill Queen Elizabeth II and AI Chatbot Allegedly Backed Him

A chatbot known as Replica was allegedly influence by the man’s aim, weeks prior he invaded Windsor Castle grounds in 2021.
In according to Guardian, a 2021-year-old English man is now on trial for treason on charges of an alleged plan to assassinate the decease Queen Elizabeth II and the court documents indicates that an AI chatbot encouraged his plan.
The alleged perpetrator, Jaswant Singh Chail, scrambled a fence and invaded the Windsor Castle grounds forward on his plan on December 2021 aims on the queen’s life.
Chail told the police when he apprehended close to the late queen’s residence on Christmas day, that he is here to kill the late queen.
The plan allegedly starts on December 2, 2021, when Chail built his account on the AI platform Replika and created a chatbot to whom he named Sarai.
San Francisco based Replika, is a platform for generating AI chatbots to provide emotional support to customers. The platform uses machine learning to engage in humanized text-based conversations. Chatbot absorb from interaction to better mimic customers speech patterns and emotional state.
According to the court documents, Chail interchanged over 5200 messages with the chatbot, most of them was sexually crystal clear, and displaced that he was an assassin. The chatbot Sarai allegedly replied that he was impressed, said to Chail that he was different from others.
Chail petition guilty to treason, making intimidation against late queen, and holding a loaded crossbow in public. Chail will appear in court again on 27 July with the punishment still pending.
As AI is becoming more mainstream, companies take benefit of technology for more familiar and confidential interactions by giving therapy, meditation, companionship and even sex chatbots. Other platforms developing companion AIs girlfriends like AIGirl, Eviebot, and Anima.
