Mark Cuban: “As An Investment, I think Ethereum Has The Most Upside”

According to Mark Cuban, the Shark Tank star investor and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, one crypto asset is superior to others in terms of investment potential.

Cuban shared in a CNBC Make It interview that he sees Ethereum (ETH) as the best crypto prospect on the market, while also commenting on Bitcoin:

“As an investment, I think ethereum has the most upside.”

Cuban said earlier that smart contracts on Ethereum’s blockchain have revolutionized the cryptocurrency market. Which is why he believes that the second-largest crypto by market cap is the digital asset which most resembles legal tender.

In fact, he said:

“I wish I had bought [ETH] sooner. I think it’s the closest we have to a true currency.”

Cuban also commented on Bitcoin (BTC) and that it is superior to gold because not only is its supply scarce, but it’s easier to transfer, store, trade, and fractionalize. That sentiment is shared Michael Saylor the CEO of MicroStrategy and Chamath Palihapitiya, CEO of Social Capital and Virgin Galactic.

Cuban also recently said that customers prefer making payments in Dogecoin (DOGE) rather than BTC at his venues because Bitcoin tends to be a highly appreciable asset, and is seen as an investment rather than mean for payment.

At the time of writing ETH trades at $3,837, with 7.4% gains on a daily chart.
