NomuPay, ‘All Access Pass’ Payment Platform, Raises $53.6 Million

The Dublin-based unified payments platform NomuPay has raised $53.6 million to help businesses in Southeast Asia, Turkey, and Europe accept local payments and get paid.
People also took part in the round, which was led by Finch Capital and Outpost Ventures, an investment platform of Neuberger Berman.
Through a single API interface, NomuPay’s Unified Payments (uP) Platform makes it possible to accept payments and pay out across all channels and markets.
Finch Capital, a venture capital firm, put together the business by buying assets from Wirecard in 2021. These assets included local licenses in Turkey and Asia-Pacific, as well as separate companies like Cardinity out of Lithuania to cover Europe.
Peter Burridge, the CEO of NomuPay and the former head of operations payouts at PayPal, says, that Every growing foreign business knows the problem of’multiples’ when it comes to payments. There are many countries, many types of payments, different payment use cases in each country, many channels, and a long list of laws that are always changing. Because of this, growth slows down. While reconciling global payments, companies have to keep track of a huge number of technical integrations and vendor interactions.
“In the face of continued technological, market, method and data fragmentation, we provide companies with a ‘all access pass’ to global payments’, enabling enterprises to continue to expand globally, and to future-proof payment strategies.”
The safe API of the uP Platform opens up a wide range of ways to accept payments, such as cards, buy-now-pay-later plans, payment plans in installments, and local payment methods in Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Turkey.
NomuPay was started in 2021, but it didn’t start adding new clients until Q4 2022. The new funding is the total amount of money that NomuPay has raised since it started, and it includes a new increase of $15 million to help the business grow and move into new places.
