Over 691 Million Covid Cases Have Been Reported Worldwide

Global Covid cases exceed 691 million, reaching a new milestone. The most recent worldwide data shows a cumulative count of 691,235,025 confirmed Covid-19 cases, with a Monday morning death toll reaching 6,898,483.

The United States leads globally with the highest number of reported Covid-19 cases, standing at 107,356,628, attended by a death toll of 1,168,502.

In India, the union health ministry data told a recent wave of 32 new Covid-19 cases within 24 hours on Sunday. The total number of cases rose to 4.49 crore, with 1,454 active instances. The death toll has reached 5,31,913, including one reported death from Mizoram.

As per Worldometer data, France and Germany have reported 40,138,560 and 38,428,685 Covid-19 cases. These figures position them third and fourth globally in terms of case numbers. The death toll in France stands at 167,642, while Germany has recorded 174,352 fatalities due to the virus.

In 24 hours until Sunday morning, Bangladesh confirmed an additional 76 Covid cases, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services. Therefore, the nation’s total caseload has reached 2,043,161.

Fortunately, no more fatalities were reported, and the official death toll from the epidemic remained at 29,462. With 1,720 samples analyzed, the daily case test positivity rate jumped to 4.42 percent from 3.23 percent on Saturday. Both the recovery and death rates remained steady at 98.37 percent and 1.44 percent, respectively.
