PartsBase Launches OroMarketplace For Aviation B2B Sales

Oro-powered PartsBase created an aircraft eCommerce marketplace.

In a news statement provided to PYMNTS on Thursday (March 9), the firms claimed OroMarketplace, Oro’s end-to-end digital marketplace solution, powers the new PartsStore platform.

“Thanks to Oro’s robust and highly flexible features, our platform will adapt as new trends and market requirements emerge, ensuring we’re able to meet the evolving needs of our users for many, many years to come,” PartsBase Chief Transformation Officer Rodrigo Garcia said in the release.

The news release says the new PartsStore joins PartsBase’s B2B online parts locator service for aviation, aerospace, and defense.

Buyers and sellers can discuss procurement needs, obtain market prices, and conduct deals on the marketplace.

According to the release, Oro’s APIs allow PartsStore sellers to deploy their product catalogs from CMS and other eCommerce platforms to avoid the danger of presenting inaccurate information, which is typical when dealing with complicated aircraft components.

“We designed OroMarketplace as a different solution to cater to unique, complicated and underserved B2B needs,” Oro CEO Yoav Kutner said in the statement.

Six weeks after Oro secured $13 million to improve B2B eCommerce, this new marketplace launches.

“This investment will allow us to continue our mission in helping transform companies, digitizing their sales process, and expand to new markets,” Kutner said Jan. 19. “As for us, we’ll be able to unlock more opportunities, and invest in our product, sales, marketing and partner network.”

Oro has over 150 B2B eCommerce and CRM customers worldwide.

Ambry Hill Technologies and eComchain released a B2B eCommerce storefront system for airplane parts suppliers in October 2002.

VistaSuite, Ambry Hill Technologies’ cloud-based aircraft aftermarket business management software, incorporated the additional solution.
