Peter Brandt: Laser Eye Movement Is “Arrogant” – Saylor, Bollinger Disagree

Peter Brandt, an experienced trader in commodities, says that the “arrogance of the laser eyes movement” is wrong. However, famous traders John Bollinger and Michael Saylor from MicroStrategy disagree with Brandt. Also, Brandt admitted that he couldn’t say for sure that Bitcoin would be worth less than $20,000 in 2022.

“Let’s be honest” – Bitcoin under $20,000

In a recent tweet, Peter Brandt said that almost no one in 2021 who added “laser eyes” to their Twitter avatars could have predicted that every BTC purchase made back then would turn into a losing trade in 2022. trader reminded the group that there were a lot of people on Twitter who “wore” laser eyes. Brandt said that he couldn’t have known that Bitcoin would stay below $20,000 for several months in a row this year.

John Bollinger joined the discussion, saying that it was “a bit mean” of Brandt to state that about Bitcoin and “laser eyes”. In response, the commodity trader criticised “the arrogance of laser eyes movement” and reminded the Bitcoiners that thinking in a dogmatic way can be dangerous.

Brandt then reminded Bollinger that in the original tweet, he had said that he was one of the people who didn’t think Bitcoin would ever be worth $20,000 again.

Michael Saylor, the founder and former CEO of MicroStrategy and an advocate of Bitcoin, told Brandt that the “laser eyes” movement was just a way of committing to Bitcoin “because it is better than other assets in terms of ethics, technology, and economics.” The Bitcoiner reminded Brandt that over the past year, all of the top assets, not just Bitcoin, have gone down. Saylor tweeted that this is why “we don’t trade Bitcoin, we hodl.”
