Poppy cards from Revolut Are Back After Raising £100k

Revolut has partnered with the Royal British Legion to enable app users to contribute directly to the charity.
Revolut is once again offering its Poppy card after generating over £100,000 for the Royal British Legion (RBL) last year.
Last year, 10,000 Revolut users sponsored the Poppy Appeal, and this year, the app is relaunching the campaign to generate more funds for military personnel.
To support the campaign and get a Poppy card, users must make a minimum gift of £5 via the app, of which 100 percent goes to the RBL.
“We are continuing to find new and innovative ways to enable people to donate to the Royal British Legion, and our partnership with Revolut and Visa does just that,” Royal British Legion head of corporate partnerships Ben France said.
“The money raised by Revolut customers will help us provide life-changing support to members of the Armed Forces community, and we are pleased to see the partnership go from strength to strength.”
The front of the card is adorned with the RBL’s red poppy, a symbol of both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future.
The cooperation between Revolut and the RBL intends to enable individuals to support the RBL throughout the year, not just with their card but also via recurring payments or one-time contributions.
Customers may choose to help the Armed Forces community each time they make a purchase by having their card transactions automatically rounded up to the closest pound and the difference immediately donated.
“We know our customers will be delighted by the return of our Poppy Card, enabling them to instantly support the Poppy Appeal through donations,” Revolut global head of public affairs Adam Gagen said.
“The return of the Poppy card comes as we celebrate a total of £20m in customer donations to a variety of charitable causes through our Donations feature.”
