Revolut Has Reached 30 Million Retail Users
Since November, the business has gained more than five million new users.
Revolut, a global fintech app, just passed 30 million retail users.
The app now handles more than 400 million deals per month, up from 350 million in November. It has nearly seven million users in the UK alone (6.8 million).
Since last November, Revolut has gained five million new customers. The company has grown quickly in the UK, where it has gained more than 1.2 million new users in the last six months.
Nik Storonsky, co-founder and CEO of Revolut, said, “Every month, Revolut adds almost a million new users.”
“This is a fantastic achievement for the company and reaching 30 million customers is another important milestone we are immensely proud of as we continue to grow and scale at pace.”
Since November, the fintech has also grown a lot in Poland, Spain, and France, where more than 400,000 new customers have joined. In Romania, the company has added half a million new customers.
The big step for Revolut comes at a time when there is a lot of talk about its long-running fight to get a banking license in the UK and after a number of its top leaders, including its chief financial officer Mikko Salovaara, left the company.
There are also worries that the UK’s “extreme bureaucracy” will cause Revolut, which is still Europe’s most valuable startup, to move its business and fast growing customer base somewhere else.
