Spanish Rehab Center Adds Crypto Trading Addiction

The rehab center said that about 1% of people who trade in cryptocurrencies would become “extremely” addicted to trading.
A high-end rehab center in Spain recently added services to help people who are addicted to crypto trading, which is a relatively new kind of drug.
The center, called “The Balance,” was started in Switzerland. Its central location is on the island of Mallorca in Spain, and it also has locations in London and Zurich.
According to a report from the BBC, it has been treating addictions to alcohol, drugs, and mental health for a long time. However, it just started offering services to help people addicted to crypto trading.
The Feb. 5 report said that one of the center’s clients had asked for help to “wean off crypto” because he was putting $200,000 worth of trades into it weekly.
The therapy, massages, and yoga that are part of the four-week stay are all part of the treatment. The bill could be more than $75,000
Since 2018, Castle Craig Hospital in Scotland has treated over 100 “dangerous” bitcoin dealers.
Diamond Rehabilitation, a wellness institution in Thailand since 2019, offers bitcoin addiction therapy and treatment.
The organization said that it uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychodynamic Theory (PT) as part of a comprehensive, multi-step plan to help traders get over their addictions.

Based on gambling disorder data, Family Addiction Specialist thinks that 1% of bitcoin traders will develop a severe pathological addiction, and 10% will have other issues beyond financial loss.
