To Build Digital Banking Platform Equitas SFB Collaborates With IBM

The collaboration among two entities aims at magnifying the digital products offered by Equitas along with its service offerings.

The bank reported on Saturday that Equitas Small Finance Bank has signed a contract with IBM Consulting to design and form a digital banking platform with the intention to provide a secure experience to users. 

The collaboration among the two entities aims to boost the growth of digital products and services offered by Equitas, as it grows its business for a digital-first generation, the bank announced.

As the part of next growth phase, Equitas aims to begin its innovation journey along with a cloud-native platform architecture. The delivery model of the bank would be more product-centric, leaving behind the traditional program management methodologies to make accurate frameworks for different channels inclusive of mobile. Equitas Chief Information Officer Narayanan Easwaran reported in the release.

The first step we take to engage with users is this partnership with IBM. We believe that this partnership will help to simplify and improve the customer experience across the board, Easwaran added.

IBM Consulting India-South Asia country Managing Partner Kamal Singhani said that they are very excited to be the consulting partner of the Equitas in its revolutionary phase.

Furthermore, they said that we are getting benefit by coupling banking industry with digital experience and cloud abilities of IBM Consulting to design a modern platform to assist Equitas digital journey.
