TSB’s Mobile And Internet Banking Services Are Unavailable

Customers’ access to their online and mobile banking accounts has been blocked by an IT error, which TSB has spent the morning fixing.
At 10.15 am, thousands of clients reported problems with the bank, and the online outage tracker Down Detector started receiving complaints of problems with the bank’s IT services.
Following a nine-hour weekend “essential maintenance” outage of the bank’s mobile app and online banking service for customers, issues started to arise.
The bank stated in a tweet sent out early this afternoon:
The former chief information officer of TSB Bank was fined more than £80,000 in April for his involvement in a botched IT migration programme in 2018 that resulted in months of persistent technical issues and locked clients out of their accounts for weeks.
The IT problems that were impacting services this morning have been fixed, according to a statement from TSB.
