What is the difference between the USA regulators and regulators in UAE, EU, and Hong Kong
USA regulators want to kill the most crucial technology development in the USA i.e. decentralized networks (Blockchain) and all the applications and services in its ecosystem which are the foundation of the next major upgrade of the Internet – Web3.
USA regulators (SEC, Gary “Gangster” Gensler) say that they will protect the investors by practically banning the entire Web3 – Bitcoin is not part of web3!
This means that the USA is fast losing its position as the tech and financial hub of the world. To ban Web3 is a painful suicide for any nation.
It is as crazy as it would have been to ban the internet in the 1990s and yearly 2000
Hong Kong will take a frog leap to become a global hub of Web3. The first phase is to regulate crypto trading for retail traders starting at the beginning of June 2023
Don’t get me wrong; No meme coins or any other small-cap gem coins can not be traded in the exchanges in Hong Kong. Only the tokens and coins with the most significant market cap can be traded in the regulated CEXs.
In this phase, no DeFi, DAO, or DEXs will be regulated.
To me, this is the right approach. This is the right way to protect retail investors. The biggest. most solid cryptos are available for trading. Of course the 2 biggest ones BTC and ETH and a few others
