Van de Poppe Predicts A Year For DeFi and Oracles, Led By Chainlink (LINK)

A leading crypto market analyst and trader, Michaël van de Poppe has his eyes on decentralized finance (DeFi) and oracle network solutions. He suggests that 2022 could be the year for Chainlink (LINK).

In a recent video, van de Poppe shared with the 160K subscribers of his YouTube channel that after a somewhat disappointing 2021, decentralized oracle network Chainlink (LINK) could lead both decentralized finance (DeFi) and oracle networks going forward.

“A year ago we were at the exact same level as where we are right now. What does that mean? 2021 hasn’t been one of the best years for Chainlink, for oracles and DeFi.

But recently we’ve actually seen strength on the DeFi section and multiple DeFi protocols have been breaking out left and right, have been showing strength through which continuation seems very likely.

If DeFi is going to wake up nicely, Chainlink is most likely going to follow through.”

Oracles connect real-world information to blockchains in order to execute smart contracts.

The analyst points out that Chainlink has printed higher highs and higher lows against USD as he looks into what ahead for LINK price action in 2022.

“If we do hold and have a higher low being made here at $19.50, we are going to attack the range highs again, and once we break through the range highs at $33 we are most likely getting ourselves into a new trend.

Then we are seeking for continuation with $77 and $120 the next targets for Chainlink.”

Van de Poppe summarizes his views on the trends that will be leading this year:

“2022 is the year of DeFi and the oracles.”

At the time of writing LINK is trading at $24.56 with 1.88% loss on the daily chart.
