Wise Rebrands At 16 Million Customers

Wise, a company that lets people send money to each other, has a new look and feel now that it has 16 million customers around the world.

The new look has a fresh green color scheme and a new font. It also takes inspiration from global currencies, languages, alphabets, and places.

Kristo Käärmann, co-founder and CEO of Wise comments:

“Our new look is inspired by the millions of people and businesses worldwide that use Wise today. It draws from where they come from, but also represents the excitement of the world open for them to conquer.”

He says that the company has about 6 million active customers who move more than £25 billion every quarter, and that every week, about 100,000 new customers join.

Wise, established in 2011, allows consumers to send, spend, receive, and keep money in 50+ currencies.

Wise just recently added “Interest” in Assets in the UK and “Balance Cashback” in Europe, which gives interest on account balances.

Wise also announced today that Assets is now live in Singapore. The next place to get this feature is Europe.

Wise has also gotten permission from the government in India and Israel to offer more services, such as the multi-currency account and card.

On the business side, the company says that more than 300,000 businesses use it every quarter, and LLCs and sole proprietors in the US have started getting cards.

Wise also gives more than 60 banks and large businesses, like GooglePay, Deel, and Monzo, an embedded money transfer platform. Bank Mandiri, which has the most assets in Indonesia, also started using Wise Platform today.

Says Käärmann:

“Over the past year we’ve introduced new features to make Wise more useful to our customers, and made payments faster. We now deliver over half our payments to their recipient in less than 20 seconds. We also helped our customers save on fees 一 £1.5 billion compared to banks in 2022 alone.”

At 7am GMT, Wise’s website, mobile apps, and digital channels including social media are getting a new design.
