Zilch Partners With StepChange For Debt Advice

The London-based BNPL unicorn Zilch has teamed up with the charity StepChange and added its tools to its own platform.
StepChange Direct is being added to Zilch’s platform, and the company promises to go one step further and add new features that will improve the user experience.
As the cost of living crisis has hit many people hard, the partners have worked together to find a number of steps that are currently needed when they are in financial stress and are referred for help that can be taken away. The StepChange team will also work with the Zilch vulnerability team to figure out how to better spot people who need debt help and send them there.
Through the Fair Share funding system, Zilch also gives money to StepChange to help the charity run.
Philip Belamant, CEO, Zilch, says:
“To Zilch, this partnership is a natural and obvious one – why would any responsible lender of credit not want to align with an establishment such as StepChange that is doing so much to support people in these hard times?
This partnership ensures we provide our customers with the very best support if they do fall behind on repayments – all for free.”
