To expand into in-store purchasing, BNPL company Zip has teamed up with WebBank to provide a real card.
The company’s “Pay-in-4” capability is expanded by the Zip Card offline, allowing instalment payments everywhere Visa is accepted.
90% of participants in a trial study claimed the card made in-store purchasing simpler, and demand is substantial as seen by Zip’s boast that it has amassed a 250,000-strong waitlist.
“With the Zip Card, we are Offering customers access to another fair, transparent payment method in a familiar format to use in-store, specifically at establishments that do not accept contactless or mobile phone payments,” says Jinal Shah, CMO of Zip US.
