El Salvador’s President Predicts Two More Countries To Adopt BTC In 2022

The President of El Salvador took it to Twitter to share his predictions for the leading cryptocurrency for 2022.

Among his predictions, Bukele, believes two more countries will adopt Bitcoin in 2022. El Salvador made history last year by becoming the first country to adopt bitcoin as legal tender. Additionally, the President predicted that the leading digital asset would reach a price of $100,000.

El Salvador is the world leader, when it comes to BTC adoption. Following the historic move to make it legal tender, the nation and its pro-bitcoin President have continued to outline BTC’s merits, accumulate more during price dips, and use the proceeds to build schools and hospitals.

Despite the growing criticism from traditional financial organizations such as the Bank of England and the IMF, Bukele is standing firm on his stance.

In November last year he announced the plans for the first ‘Bitcoin City’ in the world, which would have no other tax than VAT. One of the predictions for Bitcoin in 2022 includes that the city’s construction will commence this year.

He also believes that two more nations will follow El Salvador’s path and adopt BTC as legal tender.

Bukele also believes that there will be a massive surprise at the annual Bitcoin Conference. Interestingly, the 2021 edition brought such a surprise as El Salvador announced its plans to adopt BTC during that event.

In addition, Bukele sees bitcoin becoming a “major electoral issue in US elections this year” as the world’s most powerful economy continues to struggle with decision-making how to approach Bitcoin and the entire crypto industry.

Regarding the price action, Bukele sees bitcoin will finally reaching into a six-digit territory during the year 2022.
