Launchpad For Metaverse On Avalanche By Alibaba Cloud

Cloudverse is available to billions of users around the world, including the millions of people who use Alibaba Cloud.

Alibaba Cloud, which is a part of the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, and Avalanche have made a place for businesses to start metaverses on the layer 1 blockchain.

The platform, called “Cloudverse,” is meant to be a one-stop, end-to-end solution that makes it easy for businesses to customize, launch, and manage their own metaverse space, giving them new ways to engage customers.

Alibaba Cloud’s Metaverse Launchpad

According to the official blog post, all of the blockchain parts of the new service, such as digital land, wearables, and other digital assets, are built on Avalanche.

Alibaba Cloud’s job is to offer cloud infrastructure services that are flexible, highly efficient, and safe. These services include computing, storage, database and networking, and intelligence operation platforms. On the other hand, Avalanche and a third partner called MUA DAO will focus on building metaverse places by offering solutions.

Raymond Xiao, Head of International Web3 Solutions at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, said in a statement that there is a lot of demand from businesses in the Asia-Pacific area that want to get into the Web3 space because blockchain technology and the metaverse are becoming more popular. Xiao further added,

“Through the launch of the metaverse launchpad on Avalanche for CloudVerse, we are excited to offer businesses a way to kickstart their metaverse journeys and drive innovations and new possibilities for their businesses while elevating customer experiences.”

Alibaba Cloud and Avalanche have been working together since December 2022, when they announced that they would work together to run Alibaba Cloud’s Node-as-a-Service projects. At the same time, the Chinese conglomerate’s cloud computing section started providing infrastructure and tools to help users in Asia launch validators on the network.

Web3 Strategy of Alibaba Cloud

Alibaba Cloud recently announced plans to speed up the growth of a modern internet that is more open and safe and is powered by blockchain technology. This is part of the company’s efforts to improve its position in the Web3 space. So, the company teamed up with Elastos, a layer one blockchain protocol, to build and launch next-generation solutions last month.

In January, Alibaba Cloud also signed a memorandum of understanding with Mysten Labs, a Sui blockchain developer, to work together on building Web3 communities that will last.
