New President Helps Checkout.com Compete With Stripe In US

In her new job, Céline Dufétel will still be the chief operations officer.

As its chief financial officer (CFO) moves into the role of president, Checkout.com is making some changes to its top leadership team.

Céline Dufétel has been the company’s CFO and chief operations officer (COO) since August 2021. In her new, bigger role, she will still be the COO.

According to the company, she will now be in charge of all operational and go-to-market teams, such as finance and marketing.

Nirupam Sinha, who has been senior vice president for finance and strategy at Checkout.com for more than a year, will now take over as CFO. This is a bigger job for him.

The company wants to be a competitor to Stripe, and this change in leadership is the latest step in its plans to grow in the US.

It wants to change the way payments are made in the US as a whole by joining its competitor as an alternative to legacy payment providers.
