Elon Musk, Jack Dorsey & Cathie Wood Discuss Bitcoin in ‘The B Word’

‘The ₿ Word’ event organizer confirmed that the conference will feature a live discussion on Bitcoin including speakers such as SpaceX and Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, Square and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, and ARK Invest CEO & CIO Cathie Wood.

This discussion has now been officially confirmed following an initial Twitter thread exchange in which Dorsey invited Tesla CEO to have a conversation with him about BTC, and Musk agreed.

Elon Musk of Tesla, Jack Dorsey of Twitter and Cathie Wood of ARK Invest will discuss Bitcoin during "The ₿ Word" on Wednesday, July 21.

The event is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 21 at 12:00 p.m. ET. The set up for the conversation is very intriguing, as Musk has recently been in the industry headlines on flipping the coat on Bitcoin.

Musk changed his Twitter bio to “#Bitcoin” in January, after which Tesla invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin in February. But later in May Tesla suspended a policy of the company accepting bitcoin payments over misunderstandings about Bitcoin’s energy use. Musk then capitulated on that stance in June saying if Bitcoin becomes ‘greener’ Tesla would resume accepting it.

Dorsey, an outspoken advocate for Bitcoin, now would have an opportunity to discuss with Musk on some of Bitcoin’s nuances, and misconceptions, and bring wider understanding to the public why Musk has been flipping back and forth.

The Square CEO seems to be a good candidate for the task, as he’s very knowledgeable on the topic and seems to have Musk’s respect.

With Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood joining the conversation, it’s poised to be one not to miss.

The other speakers in the “The ₿ Word” conference include Adam Jonas of Chaincode Labs, Steve Lee of Square Crypto, Hester Peirce of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Hong Fang of OKCoin, John Pfeffer of Pfeffer Capital, Lyn Alden of Lyn Alden Investment Strategy, Nic Carter of Castle Island Ventures, Neha Narula of the MIT Digital Currency Initiative, Peter McCormack of the “What Bitcoin Did” podcast and more.
