Unstoppable Domains By Web3 Expands Support For .eth Domains
The price for .eth domains on Unstoppable will stay the same as it is on the ENS website. Services like the Vault and auto-renewal will be available as add-ons.
Unstoppable names is adding support for.eth names so that people can buy them through the official website. Unstoppable Domains usually has domain ends like.crypto,.blockchain,.nft, etc., while Ethereum fans have only been able to buy.eth domain names from the Ethereum Name Service (ENS).
The addition of Ethereum Name Service (ENS) based.eth domains to the Unstoppable website fits with its larger plans to become the first “one-stop shop” for Web3 domains that supports all of the major naming systems and blockchains.
New Features of Unstoppable Domains
The official press statement says that after the launch, anyone will be able to buy.eth domains through Unstoppable for the first time. To bring in and keep the attention of a new audience,.eth will get new features like and.
For one thing, users can use the optional Unstoppable Vault – Domain Vault to keep their.eth or other Web3 domains safe in a private vault that is handled by Unstoppable. With this feature, users can buy.eth names without having to connect them right away to a cryptocurrency wallet.
The domains that are stored in the vault are completely owned by the user and not by Unstoppable. They can be easily moved to a self-custodial wallet whenever the user wants to.
Unstoppable will also add an optional auto-renewal tool for.eth domains to make it easier to keep track of on-chain Ethereum renewals and stop people from losing them by accident. With this feature, users will be able to choose how long the renewal will last. Each auto-renewal will cost $4 per renewal time.
In the meantime, the site will add new ways to buy.eth domains, such as with credit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Bitcoin, and 11 other cryptocurrencies.

So that there are no name conflicts, every.eth domain bought from Unstoppable’s website will be registered through the ENS smart contract and have the same full functionality as other.eth domains.
In the future, Unstoppable domains will let users manage.eth domains, including setting crypto addresses, controlling on-chain profile data, and transferring.eth domains.
More than a year ago, the platform revealed that it had raised $65 million in Series A funding, making it a unicorn. The money was said to have been used to help develop new products and build relationships in the Web3 space.
Addressing Challenges
Even though Web3 was a new kind of technology, it took a while for people to start using it. Even though things are getting better, problems still remain.
So, Carter thinks that blockchain-based platforms still require a higher level of tech knowledge than big centralized services, which are made to be as easy to use as possible even though they have many new features that were “simply unthinkable” a few years ago.
